Clearly Beloved Glass

STUDIO #17A

Artist Statement

I find glass fusing in my Owen Sound home studio to be my best mode for expression, stress relief, and anxiety control. Creating glass art to be realistic, and to illicit an emotional response is what intrigues me. The contradiction of such a sharp, fragile and dangerous medium, to be manipulated with heat to bend, drip and reshape it, continues to stimulate my artistic senses. Finding peace and happiness in glass creation and teaching others about glass, has no limit and can be pushed beyond imagination. Light, shape and colour are the hooks that make this medium so wonderful to work with.
