STUDIO #15C

Artist Statement

I started painting when I was around 6 years old, I’ve always grown up in a very artistic family and have learned to embrace every part of it as a healthy way to move through life. I started seriously painting in August 2023 and found a love for acrylic paints immediately. I primarily paint local landscapes, but do occasionally like painting portraits of family pets.

In 2025 I picked up my old high school camera to photograph local scenery and animals which helped me branch into my unique works of art with personal reference photos. The two tend to cross over, photography is a very grounding activity that puts me right in the middle of nature, and the resulting shots inspire a unique piece of art from a scene that would otherwise seem plain to people walking by. Painting is very therapeutic, I use it as a way to relax by capturing scenery that makes me stop and appreciate all that nature has to offer!
